AI-Driven Manufacturing Software | Decision-centric Supply Chain & Operations Transformation | EdTech

Dattaraj Vijendra Sandur

With 26+ years of experience building and supporting software products for the manufacturing industry, I’ve spent my career close to the realities of complex supply chains—where decisions, not dashboards, ultimately determine outcomes.

My work spans product conceptualization, delivery, and long-term support, always rooted in a practical understanding of how manufacturing actually operates under constraints, uncertainty, and pressure. Over time, one insight has become clear: most operational losses don’t originate from lack of data or effort, but from how decisions are made, delayed, escalated, or left unowned.

Today, my focus is on rethinking manufacturing systems through a decision-centric lens. I believe the next wave of transformation will not come from automation alone, but from AI-enabled decision infrastructures that help organizations act earlier, reason better under uncertainty, and maintain accountability as complexity grows.

I’m particularly interested in:

Treating decisions as first-class design elements, not by-products of processes
Using AI to challenge assumptions, surface trade-offs, and expose decision latency
Bridging shop-floor reality with digital intent—without losing human judgment
Moving organizations from reactive firefighting to deliberate, value-based action

My approach is pragmatic, shaped by decades of real-world experience—but my thinking is forward-looking. I see AI not as a replacement for people, but as a catalyst for clearer thinking, better timing, and more responsible decisions.

At the core, I’m driven by a simple belief:

Manufacturing excellence is built on decision quality—not just process efficiency.

I enjoy engaging with leaders and practitioners who are willing to question established paradigms and design the future of manufacturing with clarity, courage, and intent.
